Check out what the press and ESO content creators thought when they got an opportunity to experience the Greymoor Chapter and preview Skyrim’s dark heart!
Last week, games press and select ESO content creators had an opportunity to play an early build of the upcoming Chapter. You can get a preview of what is coming in Greymoor by checking out their thoughts below.
“It may look like the Skyrim you remember, but there already appear to be plenty of new adventures planned for Elder Scrolls Online's return to the north.”
“Venturing into the open world beyond Solitude, I’m struck by how familiar it feels. I pop into Shadowgreen Cavern, for example, and suffer a fate I’m well used to: being lynched by angry Spriggan, bears, and brainwashed wolves, screeching past them to get a look at the magnificent forested cave before turning on my heels to get the hell out of there, like a hero. It looks and feels as I hope, even as I’m a few bite marks worse for wear. I also have a burst of nostalgia as I spot Dragon Bridge and Morthal on my travels. Ahh.”
“Grab your eyeliner and blackest hoodie, because Elder Scrolls Online is going super goth for its next chapter, Greymoor. We're talking vampire lords, monsters, and supernatural storms, plus the chance to go all Antiques Roadshow – but goth – with a new Antiquities system.”
“At the risk of sounding the fanboy, I want to put on the record that the landscape within this chapter just might be the most beautiful work ever done by ZeniMax.”
“Seeing the great arch of Solitude span across the Karth River in ESO is something I’ve been looking forward to since the MMORPG launched a little under six years ago.”
“Regular updates and multiple expansions have seen the game go from strength to strength and build a large, thriving online community.”
“This expansion in the Northern land seems to have what it takes to both please long-time players and convince the most skeptical to join the adventure.”
“The Elder Scrolls Online offers many features to make the MMORPG fun for single players. Creative Director Rich Lambert told us about it at a preview event of MeinMMO and also revealed why especially Skyrim fans should keep an eye on the new expansion.”
“Skyrim as you've never seen it before.”
“What we saw in this test of Greymoor convinced us very much, especially for the evident care and passion with which the development team wanted to treat one of the most significant part of Skyrim.”
“Old players will be hit hard by nostalgia."
“A fresh adventure in Skyrim!”
“There might not be a lot of changes, but these are important”
“Antiquities System will gratify players, in addition to the dark gothic story.”
“Walking through the big gates of Solitude, the effect is immediate and very cool for Skyrim fans.”
We invited a host of ESO community content creators to preview the latest Chapter. You can view some of their channels and videos below, but there’s many more to be found online right now, too!
These are just some of the fantastic Greymoor previews we’ve seen this week. If you’ve recently enjoyed some brand-new Greymoor content, be sure to share it with us and the rest of the ESO community via @TESOnline, Instagram, and Facebook.
